Every Season Has a Plan. We Execute It.
Beekeeping is a year-round discipline. The decisions made in spring determine your summer harvest. The work done in fall determines whether your colony survives winter. Anointed Apiaries manages your hive through every seasonal transition — from the first spring inspection to the final winterization — so your bees are never caught unprepared by shifting conditions.
What's Included in Seasonal Hive Preparation
- Spring: hive body reversal, supplemental feeding during dead zones, swarm inspection schedule begins.
- Spring: nectar flow monitoring and super addition to prepare for early season production.
- Summer: honey super management, mite population monitoring, mid-season colony assessment.
- Late summer/fall: honey super removal, post-harvest mite treatment, winter store evaluation.
- Fall: verification that colonies hold 60 to 80 lbs of capped honey for winter survival.
- Fall/winter: entrance reducer installation to deter rodents and reduce drafts.
- Winter: moisture quilt or insulation added to manage condensation and maintain cluster warmth.
- Year-round: visit scheduling adjusted to align with your local nectar flow and seasonal risk calendar.
